Dota 2: Dark Willow Announcer Pack Released for Battle Pass Owners

When Valve released The International 2019 Battle Pass for Dota 2 fans to throw their wallets at, the Battle Pass promised to be the biggest one yet. Since then, Valve as released some pretty cool things, with my favourite being the Earthshaker Arcana. In the early hours of the morning, Valve released the Dark Willow Announcer Pack that Battle Pass owners can now unlock.

To get the Dark Willow Announcer Pack, you need to have a Battle Pass level 75 or up, which isn’t too bad considering there is a level 100 Battle Pass you can purchase for R649. Mireska Sunbreeze, aka Dark Willow, has some really great voice lines in both the standard announcer and mega-kill announcer and although it won’t replace my GabeN announcer, it is still pretty cool, especially for fans of the hero, or those who just spam in mid in a Turbo match, you know who you are…

Valve explains in a new blog post that:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#f633ff” class=”” size=”22″] Featuring the voice of the inimitable Mireska Sunbreeze, this pack replaces the default announcer and mega-kill exclamations with the rogue fae’s take on every game, helping ensure you’ll never miss your mark in battle again.

Eligible players can claim the pack from the Battle Pass rewards line, and once unbundled, you can equip the announcer and mega-kills from the Global Items menu in the Heroes tab. [/perfectpullquote]

Apart from the Dark Willow Announcer Pack, Valve has also deployed several fixes to improve the game’s performance in the latest update.
