The DreamLeague Season 11 Major has been excellent to watch for Dota 2 esports fans and it delivered some surprising results so far in the group stages as well as the playoffs. For those who haven’t been following, the DreamLeague Season 11 Major is a big deal for professional Dota 2 teams, with $1 million in prize money and a boatload of DPC points at stake. This weekend, the DreamLeague Season 11 Major is coming to an end with a best-of-five grand final on Sunday, but we still have seven matches left before we get there.

The group stages saw the fan-favourite teams like EG, Secret, Virtus.Pro and PSG.LGD top their groups, while surprising, Team Liquid ended third in their group, under Keen Gaming who has been looking fantastic with legends like OldChicken and eLeVeN proving they still have what it takes.

The first upset occurred in the lower bracket, where Team Liquid got eliminated in the first round by Chaos EC. EG also fell after losing to Keen Gaming in the upper bracket and then when the team walked into Virtus.Pro, their DreamLeague dreams were over. It wasn’t all doom and gloom for EG, however, as with their placement they did earn themselves enough points to solidify their invite to The International 2019.
