Dota 2 Esports: New Team Liquid Dota 2 Roster Revealed

Last month, Team Liquid lost their entire Dota 2 roster as Kuro Salhi “Kuroky-” Takhasomi and his squad decided to go independent, leaving Team Liquid without a Dota 2 team for the upcoming DPC season. The 2019/2020 DPC season is only a few weeks away and now, the new Team Liquid Dota 2 roster has been revealed.

In the image above from Wykrhm Reddy, Dota 2 esports should have noticed that this squad looks familiar. That’s because it is, as this is the entire Alliance squad from the past DPC season, led by Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi. At the time of writing, it doesn’t look like the owner and coach of Alliance, Jonathan “Loda” Berg has made an official statement about the squad moving to Team Liquid, but it will no doubt an interesting statement if he does decide to make one.

Victor Goossens, the founder and co-CEO of Liquid, shares some insights about the team captain and how the organization plans to handle the squad:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#16DDEB” class=”” size=”22″]In Dota specifically, I believe it is a captain’s game, and we put a lot of faith and stock in working closely with the team but also with the captain; to make sure the team gets what they need and that’s what we want to do with iNSaNiA, we really want to make sure we can enable him with all of his ideas he has on how to make the most out of this team.[/perfectpullquote]

The Team Liquid squad now looks like this:

  • Michael “miCKe” Vu
  • Maximilian “qojqva” Bröcker
  • Samuel “Boxi” Svahn
  • Tommy “Taiga” Le
  • Aydin “iNSaNiA” Sarkohi

At the time of writing, it is unclear if Alliance plans to field another squad for the upcoming DPC season.
