This past week has been a fantastic time for Dota 2 esports fans as the MDL Chengdu Major (the first Major of the DPC season) delivered some awesome matches to watch. Now, only two teams remain with a shot at the lion’s share $1 million prize pool and a whopping 15,000 DPC points and you can watch the MDL Chengdu Major grand final at the bottom of this article.

Vici Gaming will face off against TNC in the MDL Chengdu Major grand final. At the time of writing 09:00 SAST, the loser’s final just completed with TNC Predator beating Invictus Gaming in convincing fashion to earn their spot in the final against Vici Gaming.
Vici Gaming got their spot in the MDL Chengdu Major grand final with a dominating upper bracket run, beating down Fighting PandaS 2-0, EG 2-1, and TNC 2-0.
Invictus Gaming who claimed a spot by winning the first Minor of the Dota Pro Circuit season, the Summit 11, took their revenge on EG yesterday but couldn’t overcome TNC Predator. VG demolished TNC Predator in the upper bracket finals yesterday with a 2-0 but we did see some great fights from TNC during the second game.
There is no doubt that we are in for some awesome Dota 2 esports games in the grand final. My prediction is that VG will take down TNC 3-2 in the grand final because TNC looked so strong in the lower bracket final, but VG might just be on another level this tournament. Whoever wins, Dota 2 esports fans definitely won here as well, as the first Major of the DPC season was such a joy to watch and the tournament organizers Mars Media did an excellent job.
