NiP was one of the favourites to win the tournament (from the Beyond the Summit studio) alongside Chaos EC and possibly Invictus Gaming. However, NiP got eliminated by Jfshfh178 in the group stage. Jfshfh178 is a Russian team who replaced Virtus.Pro as the latter couldn’t make it to the tournament. When the dust settled over the group stage of the Dota 2 Summit 11 Minor last night, four teams were eliminated, namely NiP, Ad Finem, paiN Gaming and Geek Fam.
Now, we have four teams remaining with a shot at the lion’s share of the $300,000 prize pool and those all-important Dota Pro Circuit points (660 in total).
Check out the schedule in South African time for some awesome Dota 2 esports matches below. All matches in the playoffs will be BO3 with the exception of the Grand Finals, which is a BO5 affair.
