More Dota 2 WePlay! Pushka League on Monday, with some teams still holding on to slim hopes of qualifying for the finals. Catch up on the past weekend’s WePlay! Pushka League action here.
VirtusPro.Prodigy (VP.P) vs B8 – game one saw B8’s poor run continue: an interesting draft combination by B8 (Necrophos/Brewmaster/Luna/Undying/Phantom Assassin) was quickly overpowered by a VP.P team that’s been singing all-tournament for a 30-minute win. Game two was more of the same: VP.P simply outmatched B8 from an execution standpoint – VP.P had a 7k gold lead at 10 minutes, and B8 never had the damage to truly challenge. 2-0 to VP.P in 37 minutes and B8 is now officially unable to get to the bracket round.
Liquid vs OG.Seed – Liquid: much better execution, OG.Seed’s line-up just couldn’t stop Liquid’s Void Spirit from dominating the first game. Liquid had effective control of the entire map by 15 minutes, pushing OG.Seed around as needed, finally getting the GG call when they pushed high ground at 25 minutes. A better performance by OG.Seed in game two saw them hold a slim advantage for the first 25 minutes until Liquid’s Monkey King started to assert dominance and built moment from there for a 42 minute 38-21 victory.
Hellraisers (HR) vs Tspirit – HR have already qualified for the bracket round, with Tspirit still a mathematical chance going into this match-up. TSpirit weren’t able to dominate long enough in game one to stop the Slark coming online, swinging the advantage back to HR around the 40-minute mark and it snowballed from there over the next 8 minutes for the HR win. In-game two,
TSpirit did very well in not letting the HR Leschrac get too out of control, and “gpk” led the way with a 17/1/18 KDA performance to seal it in exactly 44 minutes. With it all to play for, game three turned into a 45-minute punch-up: the teams traded kills for the first 23 until HR’s Riki started to take control, with HR managing 29 kills to TSpirit’s 5 over the rest of game to take the series 2-1 and ending Tspirit’s chances of a bracket appearance.
