Dota 2 Young Invoker Hero Persona Gets Unleashed for Battle Pass Owners

As expect, Valve released the young Invoker Hero Persona for Dota 2 Battle Pass owners level 305 and above in an update that dropped at roughly 03:00 this morning (20 July), weighing in at 150mb. You can now claim the first ever Dota 2 hero persona if your Battle Pass is high enough. The young Invoker Hero Persona is called Acolyte of the Lost Arts and it looks fantastic.

Get ready for an Invoker in every game you play from now until the end of time. For those who don’t know the hero very well, I suggest practising it a bit before heading into Ranked or even normal public matches in Dota 2 and failing terribly. With that suggestion out of the way, the young Invoker Hero Persona ticks all the boxes, with all new animations, models, voice lines and even item slots for future customization. The latter means Valve plans to release custom item sets for the Acolyte of the Lost Arts Invoker Hero Persona.

Valve talked about the new addition for Battle Pass owners in a new Dota 2 blog post, stating that:

[perfectpullquote align=”full” bordertop=”false” cite=”” link=”” color=”#33ff86″ class=”” size=”22″] Introducing the first-ever Hero Persona – a completely different visual and thematic take on a classic hero – available now to Battle Pass owners who invoke level 305 or beyond. Featuring all-new models, animations, voice performance, and item slots for future customization, this first persona sends the ageless Invoker back to his earliest days studying the wizarding arts.

Every legend has a beginning, and the Arsenal Magus is no exception. Aeons before he was recognized as the most dangerous magician alive – in days even he no longer remembers – the Invoker was the adolescent star pupil at an ancient wizard’s academy. Now, harnessing dangerous magics purloined from his headmaster’s secret archives, young Carl has discovered the means to journey forward and join the battle of the Ancients well before his time. From everything this Battle Pass reward has to offer, the Forged Spirits has to be my favourite. It looks like each spirit has a little face with eyes and the young Invoker plays with them like a kid would with balloons or bubbles. The voice, however, will get annoying quite quickly if you ask me.
