Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm has reportedly been permanently banned from Twitch. This mark’s Beahm’s second ban in recent months after the streamer went live from the bathroom at E3 20219 and was issued his first ban. While the type of ban has not been confirmed yet by Twitch, multiple reliable sources claim the ban is indeed permanent. Furthermore, multiple media outlets seem to claim Guy “Dr. Disrespect” Beahm has indeed been perma-banned.

At this point, it is unclear why Dr Disrespect was banned. The streamer has yet to speak out about it on Twitter. However, his Twitch account has been removed from the site completely. Twitch did offer a vague statement amidst the ban news;

The news comes after a series of sexual misconduct accusations across the industry made headlines including Assassin’s Creed Creative Director Ashraf Ismail. While there’s no evidence at this time that Dr Disrespect is involved in any way, the timing seems rather coincidental. In addition, Twitch claims to be investigating recent allegations of sexual abuse and harassment across the board. The platform is also issuing permanent suspensions immediately.

Twitch has come under fire in recent years for not holding large streamers accountable for rule violations. In addition, smaller accounts suffer from strict guidelines and often get banned for the slightest misstep while larger accounts, such as Dr Disrespect, get away with things on Twitch. If Dr Disrepsect has indeed been permanently banned from Twitch, it would mark the biggest disciplinary action taken from the platform to date.
