Dragon Age: Dreadwolf Missing From EA Release Plans Until Mid-2024

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf appears to be missing from Electronic Arts’ timeline of game releases this fiscal year (ending March 2024). The publisher recently revealed its planned game releases all the way until next year with many sports titles on the list as well as Immortals of Aveum and more. However, those hoping for the next Dragon Age to arrive in 2023 might have to wait a while longer as EA doesn’t seem to have mentioned it as part of its schedule.

The EA list of planned releases this fiscal year up until the end of March 2024 reveals a number of key titles including Super Mega Baseball 4, Immortals of Aveum and Lord of the Rings: Heroes of Middle Earth. Of course, we can expect the usual annual drop of sports titles from the company like F1, Madden, NHL and the newly rebranded EA Sports FC.

Despite some reports suggesting that Dragon Age: Dreadwolf might be able to make its “pretty aggressive” release window target of 2023, it seems like a little more time might be needed for developer BioWare to work on the anticipated fantasy RPG. BioWare has yet to show any concrete gameplay of the next Dragon Age so some expectations need to be adjusted if you’re expecting it to launch this year. Plans could easily change at EA if development on the game is making good progress, though we’ll just have to wait and see.

BioWare, looking to redeem itself after the missteps of Anthem and Mass Effect: Andromeda, is hard at work on the next Dragon Age as well as a new Mass Effect game, which is much further away from release. EA hasn’t given a release window for either title yet.

Dragon Age: Dreadwolf is currently in development for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
