BioWare is releasing a Dragon Age: The Veilguard character creator as a standalone app for users to play around with. This standalone version lets you create your own Rook using all the available tools in the game’s creator and fiddle with all those sliders to your heart’s content.
If you enjoy the editor and feel like playing the actual game, the character you create can then be transferred to the main game. The creator does give you the ability to craft various Rooks so you’re not stuck in a box making just one.
This app is a great idea given how incredible the character creator is in Dragon Age: The Veilguard. It is your typical RPG-esque system where you can dive into all the nose joints and eyebrow curves you could ever dream of.
In addition to the creator, BioWare has dropped Patch 4 for the game. The update went live last night and added new content while at the same time, fixing various bugs. There’s a new in-game mission that is tied to Hawke. After completing this mission, players will be rewarded with items themed around the Dragon Age II character, including face paint, body paint, and an armour set.
The bug fixes in Patch 4 range from quest bugs to visual issues. The most notable one for me is the ability to now disable Bloom. Playing this on PS5, the game abuses the Bloom, and everything looks blown out as a result. I can’t wait to disable this.
