Bandai Namco Entertainment has announced the release date for its upcoming asymmetrical action game, Dragon Ball: The Breakers, based on the Dragon Ball franchise created by Akira Toriyama. Fans can jump into the action on 14 October 2022, where they’ll be expected to survive against some of the series’ most terrifying villains.
Dragon Ball: The Breakers follows in the footsteps of other asymmetrical games like Dead by Daylight, where seven players take the role of ordinary civilians pitted against one of Dragon Ball‘s mightiest foes, including Frieza, Cell and Buu (which are also controlled by other players). The release date trailer highlights some gameplay on Namek with players struggling to survive and outwit Frieza.

The official website for Dragon Ball: The Breakers describes the game:
“Caught in by an unexpected temporal phenomenon, seven ordinary citizens find themselves stranded in a Temporal Seam: they share their imprisonment with the Raider, a menacing enemy from another timeline with an overwhelming power.
Their only hope for survival is to break out from the Temporal Seam with the Super Time Machine, but the Raider is on their tracks and becomes stronger minutes-by-minutes.
In a race against time the cunning of Survivors clashes with the power of the Raider, to break free or be broken…”
Bandai Namco finally revealed that the game will receive a closed network test soon, beginning early next month. You can sign up for it right here.
