Looking for something to scratch that Diablo and Path of Exile itch? Ahead of the game’s early access launch on 6 March, Dragonkin: The Banished now has a demo available to play on PC. According to Studio EKO, the demo will be available during the latest Steam Next Fest, which kicks off on 24 February (the demo is actually already live). You’ll be able to play the demo up until 3 March.
By the sound of things, the demo is quite chunky. It includes 3 heroes and 4 available dragonets. You’ll be able to play through the game’s prologue and take control over high-level characters with already unlocked advanced skills and abilities. This should give you a good look at how the game’s combat works.
The general story behind Dragonkin: The Banished sounds great. Basically, ancient evil dragons, which were locked away a few hundred years ago, are now trying to break free. They have found a way to spread a corruption that turns people mad. If they aren’t driven crazy through the dragon voices in their heads, they are mutated into monsters through dragon blood.
Dragonkin: The Banished includes all the things you’ll look for in an ARPG, including deep character customisation, a vast skill tree, loot, city upgrades, social hubs, and more. There is a full selection of deep dive videos available to watch on Dragonkin: The Banished if you’re keen.
In the meantime, be sure to grab the demo on Steam. If you enjoy the game, it will launch in early access on 6 March. Nacon also confirmed that PS5 and Xbox Series X/S versions of the game are in development and set to launch sometime in the future.
