Dragon's Dogma 2 10th Anniversary Event Capcom

Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary Event Confirmed for 16 June

Capcom has confirmed the Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary digital event set to take place on 16 June. The company made the announcement at the recent Capcom Showcase, bringing director Hideaki Itsuno to reveal the upcoming event that will be centered around the action-RPG Dragon’s Dogma and hopefully its rumoured sequel, Dragon’s Dogma 2.

The Dragon’s Dogma 10th Anniversary digital event will take place on Thursday, 16 June at 3PM PT / 11PM BST / 12AM (midnight) SAST. Coincidentally, this is also the same time that Square Enix is hosting the Final Fantasy VII 25th Anniversary event. Choose wisely if you’re looking forward to both.

Capcom teased more news to arrive related to Dragon’s Dogma at its upcoming 10th anniversary show, where we’ll likely get a celebration of Capcom’s well-received monster-slaying RPG.

However, fans are also hoping that Dragon’s Dogma 2 will be revealed. There’s some weight to these expectations as Dragon’s Dogma 2 was listed on the infamous Nvidia GeForce Now leak, which has proven to be very accurate so far. It preemptively revealed Kingdom Hearts IV, Crysis 4, God of War‘s PC port and many more.

Director Hideaki Itsuno, whose last game was 2019’s Devil May Cry 5, expressed interest in making a sequel to Dragon’s Dogma. Given that Capcom is now hosting an entire event dedicated to the game, it’s possible that we’ll see the sequel announced at the show. Keep your expectations in check in case no announcement is made.

That said, it’s strange for Capcom to host a Dragon’s Dogma anniversary event at the exact same time as Square Enix’s scheduled Final Fantasy VII anniversary event, where the long-awaited Final Fantasy VII Remake Part 2 might be unveiled. We hope one reveal doesn’t overshadow the other if both are announced at these shows. Either way, fans can look forward to quite a few surprises later this week.
