Dragon’s Dogma Hits Highest Player Count in Six Years Following Sequel News

Dragon’s Dogma has been revived online following the announcement that Capcom is working on a sequel. Last week, Capcom confirmed a Dragon’s Dogma 2 game was in the works at the studio. The sequel is being built on the RE Engine which is the same engine Capcom uses to make the Monster Hunter and Resident Evil games.

Since the announcement, players have decided to jump back into the original game which has now hit a peak player count of 6,582 players on Steam over the past weekend. This is the highest player count seen for Dragon’s Dogma since back in 2016.
