Nearly six years in the making, gamers will finally be able to get their hands on Media Molecule’s long-awaited PS4 exclusive title, Dreams, very soon. For those of you who have no clue what dreams is, it is basically a create-your-own game type sandbox title and from everything shown so far, the game looks to have almost no limits to what players can do. We are all pretty excited about Dreams beta and its release date is just around the corner.

So when is the Dreams beta release date? Well, for those who have been following Media Molecule’s newsletter, the Dreams beta starts today. You can still sign up to the newsletter, but the developer notes that only those who subscribed to the newsletter before 7 December qualify for early access to the beta.
If you haven’t been following the newsletter, then you will have to wait a little bit longer. The Dreams beta runs until 21 January 2019 and the Dreams beta release date for the public is set for 8 January 2019. Signups for the public beta will open on 4 January 2019, so the wait isn’t that long at all.
For those in the beta or who plan to try out the game, Media Molecule asks that you communicate the following:
What we’re most interested in learning during beta is your experience using the tools – are you able to make things? Did the tutorials help you? Did anything not work for you? What did you find confusing?
Media Molecule notes that the beta will be under NDA, so that means no Streaming, Tweeting or sharing stuff about the game on social media at all. However, the things you create in the beta is expected to carry over to the full release. We don’t know when the game will release yet, but with a public beta like this one coming up early next year, Dreams shouldn’t be too far away from release either.
Check out the Dreams gameplay video released earlier this year and tell us what you will try to create in the beta first.
