The DStv 2022 prices have been announced. For the most part, the service isn’t increasing by much. The biggest price increase is seen on its Compact package with a 4.89% increase. Surprisingly, the top-tier Premium service is seeing the smallest price increase at only 1.21%.
DStv says that the new prices will come into effect from 1 April in South Africa. Other services including Easyview, Showmax, Add Movies and BoxOffice aren’t increasing with the new price hike.

According to Nyiko Shiburi, MultiChoice South Africa CEO, the minimal price increases across these packages will help customers retain their financial obligations with DStv without putting further pressure on them. This marks the second year DStv has kept its price increase as low as possible.
DStv 2022 Prices
The DStv 2022 prices effective from 1 April are now as follows:
- DStv Premium: R839 (was R829)
- DStv Compact Plus: R549 (was R539)
- DStv Compact: R429 (was R409)
- DStv Family: R309 (was R295)
- DStv Access: R120 (was R115)
- DStv EasyView: R29 (remains unchanged)
