Dying Light 2 won’t be making its 7 December 2021 release date. Techland has announced that the upcoming zombie FPS survival game has now been pushed into 2022. Dying Light 2 will now release on 4 February 2022.
Techland released a statement regarding the game. According to Pawel Marchewka, CEO of Techland, the delay is needed to polish up certain gameplay elements. Marchewka claims that Dying Light 2 development is completed but the playtesting has brought up some issues that need ironing out before the public release.
Marchewka also says that various media outlets and streamers will be getting hands-on with the game soon so fans can expect some new gameplay and previews going live.
The team is steadily progressing with the production and the game is nearing the finish line. The game is completed and we are currently playtesting it. It is by far the biggest and the most ambitious project we’ve ever donbe. Unfortuntely, we’ve realized for us to bring the game to the level we envisioned, we need more time to polish and optimize it.
