Techland has announced a strange Dying Light 2 crossover event with Call of Juarez: Gunslinger. The themed event will bring items from the series into the zombie game as its latest content update free for all players.
Of course, as previous cross-over events go, the themed content will also come with a cosmetic pack letting players live their Call of Juarez fantasy with a knife, glider skin, poncho outfit and dynamite blueprint.

Techland says that the Call of Juarez: Gunslinger event celebrates 10 years of the Western game. The event itself is called Undead and Alive and kicks off on 31 May. Players will have until 7 June to obtain the Boomsticker gun which can only be discovered during the event.
While the Undead and Alive event is active, players will also be able to find special infected enemies around the world. The map will also be littered with extra Postal Vans, Ambulances and Military Trucks.
In order to get the gun, you’ll need to complete a set number of goals. Completing the goals will also reward players with the cosmetic items available in the set, which you can purchase separately.
Techland has yet to detail these specific goals. However, previous events saw players decapitate a thousand enemies in order to unlock specific blueprints so expect the goals to be very much the same.
Unfortunately, players can only purchase some of the items available during the event with real money. The Boomstick weapon is only obtainable by reaching the set goal. Keep an eye on the Pilgrim Outpost website for the challenges when they go live next week.
Dying Light 2 is now available on PS4, PS5, Xbox and PC.
