Techland has quite a lot in store for Dying Light 2 fans as the studio works on new features and content for the zombie game. While the game’s next DLC has been put on hold and delayed until 2024, you’ll still find a lot of reasons to go back to Dying Light 2 in the coming weeks.
Techland detailed the game’s new roadmap which includes a number of noteworthy features. This content is all expected to arrive within the next few months leading into 2024. Of course, the roadmap covers the upcoming Halloween event but there’s also a Vampire: The Masquerade and For Honor crossover taking place in October and November.

Apart from the content drops, Dying Light 2 will also get a number of updates which include quality-of-life changes and free content. There’s a batch of new co-op-specific missions coming our way along with new board quests and replayable GRE Anomalies.
New firearms will add an extra bit of “shooter” to this melee-based game. There’s a whole new weapon rarity also coming to Dying Light 2 alongside a new difficulty. Techland will also patch Dying Light 2 with additional graphics modes and FOV support for the Xbox Series S.
Most exciting of all, there’s a new Tower Raid coming which will test your skills across an intense series of missions. By the look of things, players will face off against new enemy variants and will need to take all their new skills and weapons into the mode in order to beat it.
If anything, Dying Light 2 seems to be expanding way beyond anything we expected. The new weapon types add a lot of content to the game and firearms will completely change the way you play the game. While there are no exact release dates for this content yet, Techland says we can expect it from October into 2024.
