At E3 2018, developer Techland announced the follow-up to one of the best zombie experiences I’ve ever had. Dying Light 2 looks fantastic and we all want to see more of the game. Now, it has been confirmed that the sequel will be at E3 2019 and fans of the original should be extremely excited.

Everything we’ve seen from the sequel so far (which isn’t a lot) points towards the game being a worthy sequel. Personally, the thing that really stood out about the original for me was how Techland continued to drop free update after free update and when they did release paid content, it was the absolutely massive “The Following” expansion.
We know Dying Light 2 will have that awesome parkour movement, zombies galore and even branching storylines that change areas of the city depending on what decisions you make. That all sounds exciting but in the E3 2018 reveal trailer, we didn’t get to see the nighttime. For those who don’t know, in the original game, nighttime is when things get extremely hectic and all those powerful and unique zombies come out to play.
Techland revealed that Dying Light 2 will be at E3 2019 in a Tweet which you can see below, accompanied by a short clip that gives us our first glimpse of the game’s nighttime.
We’re bringing Dying Light 2 to #E3. We can’t wait to show you the latest look at our most ambitious project to date.

I, for one, can’t wait to hear more about the sequel and hopefully we will get both a release date and a bunch of new gameplay to drool over.
