While many games on the market lose support after a few months, the developers at Techland have supported Dying Light since launch and they plan on continuing doing so for the next couple of month roo. The game is celebrating its 5th anniversary and Techland will be introducing a load of new content updates and promotions to the open-world zombie RPG.

The latest Dying Light content roadmap was revealed by Techland and kicks off with a new “Story Mode” difficulty to help players who are perhaps new to the game breeze through the story and catch up before the launch of Dying Light 2. Techland revealed that the mode can be activated for both current saves and new playthroughs so anyone can experience it.
Techland will also roll out in-game events from today until 19 March 2020 including the game’s first-ever free to play weekend on Steam which is available right now. Techland says there will be a handful of “fan-favourite” events making comebacks in the new few weeks including a new paid DLC pack which is available from today too. The Dying Light “5th Anniversary Bundle” includes two new melee weapons and a new shotgun. They have their own unique perks like faster reload on the shotgun and the melee weapon deals 50% mode damage on the third whack.
If you are a fan of the game or have never played it before, it could be the best time to jump into the action. While Dying Light 2 was delayed indefinitely, the first game still makes for a great playthrough and you might also grab it at a super low price.
