Need for Speed Unbound Reveal EA

EA to Reveal Need for Speed: Unbound Very Soon – Report

EA is set to reveal Need for Speed: Unbound, the next entry in the long-running racing series, within the next two weeks. This is according to Insider Gaming, which has been building a good track record lately when it comes to video game leaks and insider knowledge. In the same report, a release date of 2 December 2022 is listed by sources.

The report provided by Insider Gaming suggests that Need for Speed: Unbound, a title which already leaked back in June, will be revealed in the next few weeks with a release date. While it was originally speculated to launch in early November, publishers might be shuffling around release dates so as to not clash with the biggest release of that month, God of War Ragnarok. Ubisoft just delayed Skull and Bones, which was set to release a day before the next God of War, though it might have little to do with timing.

MORE NEED FOR SPEED – Why Need for Speed: Underground 2 Remains The Best in the Series

Insider Gaming’s report also mentions that Unbound went through some behind-the-scenes delays which could explain why it wasn’t revealed earlier. Now, a reveal is set to take place in early October. The reveal trailer will reportedly be 2-3 minutes in length and feature music from rap artist A$AP Rocky.

In August, some early gameplay footage of Need for Speed: Unbound leaked online, showing comic styled effects. It also lines up with previous reports that the next game would have highly stylized gameplay that we haven’t seen in the franchise before. Criterion Games, the developers behind Burnout and several Need for Speed titles, is leading the development on Unbound.

As with all rumours, take this with a pinch of salt for now. If EA is still planning to release the next Need for Speed by the end of the year, then a reveal is imminent. Alternatively, the company could choose to delay the project and push it into early 2023. We’ll just have to wait for an official confirmation at this point.
