Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree Gameplay Trailer Release Date

Elden Ring DLC’s Final Boss Has Been Beaten by a Goldfish

The hardest boss in the Elden Ring DLC, Shadow of the Erdtree, has been beaten by a real-life goldfish. No, this isn’t a skit. You read that correctly. In fact, the goldfish was capable of tanking hits and making the entire harrowing ordeal look easy. Before we proceed, note that we’ll be spoiling the final boss of the DLC, so you have been warned.

Content creator and Twitch streamer Eric ‘PointCrow’ Morino achieved this insane feat with his goldfish named Tortellini. PointCrow mapped Tortellini’s tank to various input controller commands in the game, meaning that it would execute inputs based on where it swam in the tank. It’s almost unbelievable that something like this could happen, but PointCrow caught the entire achievement live on stream.

Tortellini challenged Shadow of the Erdtree‘s final boss, Promised Consort Radahn, who is arguably the hardest boss fight in From Software’s history. Tanked up with a supremely effective build, Tortellini was able to tank a lot of Radahn’s hits while dishing out modest melee damage at close range. At one point, the goldfish even heals and performs the Bloodhound’s Step to close his distance on Radahn.

This isn’t Tortellini’s first dance, so to speak, with Elden Ring. Last year, the goldfish was able to successfully defeat Malenia’s first phase and a number of main bosses in the base game. He has now done the impossible and defeated Promised Consort Radahn, a boss who gives plenty of players trouble due to his insane difficulty scaling.

In related news, From Software recently stated that it doesn’t plan on making another game as big as Elden Ring, stating that the award-winning RPG might’ve been the studio’s limit in terms of scope and ambition.

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
