Elden Ring PS5 Xbox Series X 4K

Elden Ring Features 4K and 60FPS Modes on PS5/Xbox Series X

If you plan on playing Elden Ring on either PS5 or Xbox Series X/S, you’ll have the option to choose between a 4K quality display mode and a 60FPS performance display mode. According to GameStop, the game includes two visual modes for players to toggle between.

According to the retailer, the Elden Ring two modes will offer a different visual experience depending on their preference. The Graphic Mode will enhance the game up to 4K and the Performance Mode enhances the game at 60FPS. However, the details on these two modes are still unclear.

Usually, visual modes like these render a 1440P 60FPS or somewhere in the middle. In addition, the 4K Performance Modes also enable players to enjoy an adaptive resolution that changes depending on the scene. This means the game will always run at a locked 60FPS but the resolution dips up and down to accommodate whatever is going on.

Bandai Namco will share more details on these modes before Elden Ring launches in early 2022 but for the time being, it is nice to see PS5 and Xbox Series X owners having options available for the game. The listing on GameStop reads:

Enhanced Experience

Using the power of new generation of consoles, PlayStation 5, will allow players to personalize their experience by choosing between GRAPHIC MODE to enhance the game’s visuals (up to 4K) or PERFORMANCE MODE for a higher frame rate (up to 60FPS).

Bandai Namco recently showcased a full 15-minute gameplay preview for Elden Ring and at the same time showed off some fancy new Collector’s Editions you can pre-orders. Catch up on that news here. In addition, you can watch the gameplay down below. Elden Ring launches for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC on 25 February 2022.
