Last week out of nowhere From Software announced and released the Elden Ring PvP update which unlocked the dormant colosseums to players in the game. However, while that free content was exciting, players are still waiting in anticipation for the rumoured Elden Ring DLC. From Software has yet to announce the content but previous leaks found in the latest game updates hinted at things to come. Game director Hidetaka Miyazaki all but confirmed the DLC during his acceptance speech where Elden Ring Game of the Year during The Game Awards show last week.
During his speech, Hidetaka Miyazaki said that there are still things the studio wanted to do. He says winning the coveted Game of the Year award has really encouraged the team to pursue this.
“As for Elden Ring, we still have several more things we want to do, so getting this GOTY Award really, really encourages us.”
Miyazaki also hinted that he might be working on a new game even more ambitious than Elden Ring. He claims that he wants to work on even more interesting games by saying:
“I have made up my mind to create even more interesting games than this one.”
We are still likely a while away from seeing whatever From Software cook up next. However, the idea of Elden Ring DLC has fans more excited than ever. Many of them have already completed the game and are craving more from it. While we originally thought the DLC would be announced at The Game Awards last week, it seems From Software just isn’t ready to reveal the content just yet.
