Elden Ring, the latest open-world action-RPG by From Software and George R.R. Martin, has only just released and it looks like fans might have already discovered an area that will be used for potential DLC in the future. A hidden arena has been found, which could strongly suggest that multiplayer duels are coming as DLC or an update soon.
As discovered by YouTuber Lance McDonald, by using a mod that goes out of bounds of the game’s world, there’s a massive, inaccessible arena in Elden Ring which many fans believe will be part of a multiplayer DLC or update in the near future.

If you actually try and approach this arena in the game, you will be attacked by a hostile invader, though it’s AI controlled. This was likely put there to replicate what it’s like to be invaded by actual players, further hinting at a possible multiplayer dueling DLC on the way.
Elden Ring only released a week ago, though, so we’ll be waiting a while until we hear about any DLC news. However, it’s also possible that this arena was originally planned to be included in the game at launch, but From Software weren’t able to complete it in time for the final release. It may arrive as a free update once completed and finally added to the game.
From Software tend to typically announce DLC for their games a few months after its release. Dark Souls III and Bloodborne both received their final DLC around a year of their release. Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice didn’t get any DLC outside of a few updates and content drops, though From Software probably chose to double down on Elden Ring‘s development instead.
Elden Ring is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
