Elden Ring Leaked – From Software’s New Game with George R.R. Martin

In May we reported on a rumour that George R.R. Martin consulted with a Japanese game developer to create a Game of Thrones video game. It seems like that rumour got things half-right, as a leak suggests the author is working with a Japanese developer, From Software, but it is not for a Game of Thones video game. Instead, according to the leak which is accompanied by some concept art, the game is called Elden Ring and is set in a new world.

From Software is known for its brutal Dark Souls franchise, as well as hits like Bloodborne, Sekiro: Shadows Die Twice and, of course, Demon Souls, among a few other older franchises. From Software is one of my favourite developers ever and there’s even some better news for Elden Ring. This new world of Elden Ring is reportedly created by From Software’s Soulsborne mastermind, Hidetaka Miyazaki and George R. R. Martin.

This leak comes from what was reported to be a security flaw on the Bandai Namco website. Senior analyst of Niko Partners, Daniel Ahmad, posted a tweet showing the game’s concept art on twitter.

The Elden Ring is reportedly a fantasy action-RPG adventure and although there is no mention of a release date, the game will come to PC, PS4 and Xbox One.

Since E3 is imminent, we will very likely hear soon if the Elden Ring leak is correct. Until then, take information like this with a grain of salt.
