Elden Ring Nightreign Announced The Game Awards Co-Op Standalone From Software

Elden Ring Nightreign Release Date Might Be Revealed Next Week

The release date for Elden Ring Nightreign, the upcoming co-op survival soulslike from From Software, might be announced next week. The game was initially revealed at last year’s The Game Awards as a standalone multiplayer co-op game where teams of three players enter a new land to take on various enemies and bosses. Unlike the original game, Nightreign is all about jolly co-operation and taking down increasingly tougher foes in squads.

According to a new report from Insider Gaming, a source close to the outlet claimed that new details for Elden Ring Nightreign are scheduled to arrive next week, which includes a final release date. Specifically, fans can look forward to information arriving on 12 February, which is next week Wednesday. The source goes on to give a vague release window stating that it’s planned to launch by the end of May. The information will apparently be accompanied by media previews as well.

The previews and new details will arrive shortly before the game’s network test is scheduled to commence on 14 February and run until 17 February. The tests will be split into five separate three-hour sessions, though we understand that it’s rather difficult at this point to get an invite unless you’re willing to shovel out ridiculous prices.

The description for Elden Ring Nightreign reads:

“Elden Ring Nightreign is a standalone adventure within the Elden Ring universe, crafted to bring a new gaming experience. Join forces with other players to take on the creeping night and the dangers within featuring 3-player co-op, uniquely skilled champions, and relentless threats.”

In other news, From Software says it’s currently not considering Elden Ring 2 at the company. We know that it’s currently working on multiple new projects, though there’s a good chance that they’re new IP or spin-offs like Nightreign rather than direct sequels to previously released titles.
