  • Fixed a bug that caused the game to quit under certain conditions during a battle with the Fire Giant.
  • Fixed other bugs.

PS5:

  • Changes to save game progression even when the game is not terminated.

Elden Ring launched to various performance issues across multiple platforms. Many tests revealed that the Xbox Series X version ran the best, though still encountered some framerate dips.

The issues were more prevalent on PC and PS5, however, as framerate issues, save bugs, some crashes and more were reported by players. From Software are quickly addressing several of these issues with a rollout of patches, with more sure to come in the following weeks.

Interestingly, fans implored PlayStation users to instead run the PS4 version of Elden Ring on PS5 as it contained less framerate stutters and overall performance hiccups than the PS5 version, which is still being worked on.

Elden Ring is now available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
