At Microsoft’s E3 Press Conference earlier this year, From Software’s new game, Elden Ring was officially revealed to the world. With the mastermind behind the Soulsborne games, Hidetaka Miyazaki, at the helm and collaboration from George R.R. Martin, fans have a lot to get excited about, but until now, there has been no indication of an Elden Ring release date.
A popular retailer, Target, has listed Elden Ring with a 30 June 2020 release date on the Xbox One version of the game and at the time of writing, the Elden Ring release date is still on the listing, which you can check out here for yourself. Normally, with placeholder dates, it would be something like 31 December 2020, if a retailer knows the game will release in the year.
Importantly, this possible Elden Ring release date falls on a Tuesday, which is a popular day to release big titles, alongside a Friday. Even so, one should take this with a grain of salt until such time as the release date is officially announced because this date could still be a placeholder with the retailer assuming (or knowing) that the game will release before the end of the 2nd quarter of 2020.
At the time of writing, From Software has not revealed the game’s release date but we know that the game will be coming to PC, PS4 and Xbox One. With a release probably sometime in 2020 and next-gen on the horizon, that is another factor to take into consideration.
