Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree How to Get Night Armour Sauron Set

Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree – How to Get Night Set (Sauron Armour)

If you’re a fan of The Lord of the Rings and Elden Ring, then Shadow of the Erdtree has a neat armour set for you. This particular set, simply called the Night Armour, is clearly modelled after Sauron, the antagonist of J.R.R. Tolkien’s legendary fantasy world. Here’s a quick rundown of where you can acquire the set and what it can offer you.

Acquiring the Night Armour set isn’t straight-forward as it will require you to get to a region called the Scadu Altus. From the Moorth Ruins site of grace, drop down a large hole with what appears to be a church or structure at the bottom (some tricky platforming is required). At the bottom, climb up the well ladder and you will arrive in Bonny Village. There are two bridges in Bonny Village but you’re going to take the southern one.

Head south until you reach a cave called Bonny Gaol. Once you enter the cave, go to the room with the open trap door and jump through it. You’ll fall into a network of dark caves. Turn left and keep going until you find a broken down wall. Jump through this wall and you’ll drop into a large cave full of Living Jars, big and small. Be sure to also avoid the Belchers as they have a tendency of hiding in large empty jars.

Keep going through the gaol (it’s pretty straight-forward) until it takes you to a jar lift. Ride the jar lift down and jump off, then turn around and get on the jar lift again. This time, it will take you to a much higher platform and room where the full Night Armour set is on a table guarded by weak enemies. This gives you the Helm of Night, Armour of Night, Gauntlet of Night and Greaves of Night. If you go a little further into this area, you’ll also find the Shield of Night on a ledge.

The Night Armour set has decent Resistance but weak physical defence and low poise. However, it also offers fantastic resistance to magic and holy, with good defence for fire and lightning, making it a solid set for elemental defence. However, it’s big appeal is the design which is very clearly inspired by that of Sauron from The Lord of the Rings, just without a cape.
