Elden Ring: Shadow of the Erdtree is From Software’s notoriously challenging DLC for its award-winning 2022 fantasy RPG. To relieve some of the stress that comes with the Realm of Shadow’s difficulty, the developer implemented Scadutree Blessings, fragments that players can collect to increase their attack and defence. However, one streamer decided to not use those tools and over 1,000 deaths later, managed to beat the DLC.
Elden Ring streamer MissMikkaa, who previously beat dual Malenias simultaneously using a dance pad and controller as well as tuned an acoustic guitar to beat the game, has taken on a new challenge of not using Scadutree Blessings to beat Shadow of the Erdtree. As you can imagine, this is pretty difficult since it means bosses in the later sections of the DLC can very easily one-shot you without the added protection of the Scadutree fragments, while your damage output will be significantly lowered too.
The streamer explained that she suffered 1,135 total deaths but nearly half of those were due to the final boss, which took her 16 hours and 516 attempts to beat. Keep in mind, this is all without using the game’s Scadutree Blessings, meaning she always stood the risk of getting one-shot without decent damage output on her weapons.
I finally finished Elden Ring Shadow of the Erdtree! After 1135 total deaths we got the 0 Scadutree all bosses win! I was also sick for most of it unfortunately.
The last boss took me 516 tries and 16 hours, harder than Malenia.
