Fallout TV Series First Look New Story Details

Ella Purnell is Playing Fallout New Vegas to Prepare for Fallout Season Two

The Fallout TV show is one of 2024’s best moments. The Prime series launched in early 2024 and broke viewing records. As of October this year, it has been watched by over 100 million viewers. It also amassed more than 7 million minutes of streaming within its first three weeks of launch. The show is currently nominated for Best Adaption at The Game Awards 2024.

Needless to say, Amazon has kicked off pre-production for Fallout Season Two. Ella Purnell who plays Lucy in the show is set to return to her current role alongside many of the other stars. Purnell is prepping for her return by playing Fallout: New Vegas. She revealed her current binge game on Bluesky in a post that says “I’ve been told to play Fallout New Vegas”.

Purnell didn’t exactly confirm the “research” was being done for Fallout Season Two but it doesn’t take a scientist to put the dots together. She says “Since I do love some source materials and this may or may not be prep for a certain job I may or may not be on soon.” She ends the post with a #FalloutS2 tag.

We know that the Fallout TV show already touched on the events of New Vegas. Certain scenes in the first season teased the surrounding story arcs we have seen in the video game series as well as some of the very early Fallout lore. Fans have predicted that the upcoming season will explore this even more. We have covered this in our complete guide to the show’s era and setting here. So right now it is all but confirmed that New Vegas will play a crucial role in the upcoming season.

Amazon already kicked off filming for Fallout Season 2 last month. Macaulay Culkin has been announced for a new role in the show too. While this is all exciting, keep in mind that we are likely still far away from watching Fallout. Season 2 will probably be released at the end of 2025 or early 2026 at this rate. So don’t get your hopes up just yet.
