Tech entrepreneur and CEO of Tesla Inc., Elon Musk, appeared on Felix “PewDiePie” Kjellberg’s YouTube series, Meme Review. During his appearance, Elon Musk makes fun of himself while going through and reviewing memes with Rick and Morty co-creator, Justin Roiland. Some of the memes even feature Elon Musk himself, but he takes it all with a pinch of salt and some awkward laughing.

Elon Musk is known by many as a highly intelligent person, with a drive to be successful, but also as being kind of eccentric. The South African-born CEO of California-based Tesla Inc. has had his fair share of weird encounters with the internet and has been turned into many a meme himself. Fans have been asking both Elon Musk and PewDiePie on Twitter to host the Meme Review for a while, with Elon Musk teasing fans with a cryptic Tweet in October 2018.

Now, he has finally made the appearance which PewDiePie jokingly describes as making his life and his channel.

It would save us from T-Series. It would redeem all evil acts of this channel.

In the video, which has already garnered more than 15 million views, he pokes fun at his perceived strangeness (sometimes a little awkwardly), not seeming to take his popularity as a meme too seriously.

These past couple of years, particularly this past year, have been meme city. So, I’ve seen a lot of memes.

This appearance comes in the wake of demand apparently being lower than expected for Tesla’s Model 3, something he doesn’t address in his appearance on the Meme Review. But this could be a marketing strategy for Elon Musk to tap into the YouTube audience and make himself as well as the Tesla cars more accessible and hopefully more popular.

Before Elon Musk goes through some memes with Justin Roiland, PewDiePie reviews the popular memes currently making their way through the internet. One of the most popular memes currently out is for the upcoming live-action Aladdin movie. He goes through some other memes as well, until getting to the last part with the special co-hosts. You can take a look at the full episode of Meme Review below (don’t let the title fool you). Elon Musk and Justin Roiland’s part comes in at about 13:35 if you’d like to skip ahead to that.
