Endgame Directors Tease New Marvel Film Footage Ahead of Comic-Con

It might not seem like it right now, but there’s a lot to get excited about when it comes to the future of the MCU. With Spider-Man: Far From Home in the cinemas right now and its post-credit scene setting up the MCU’s future, we look towards the next new Marvel film. Now, Avengers: Endgame and Infinity War directors, Joe and Anthony Russo, have unleashed a cryptic teaser, pointing towards footage of a new Marvel film.

We know that the next Marvel film will be the first proper film in the MCU’s phase 4 and also that there will be a Russo Brothers panel at Comic-Con San Deigo on 19 July. With that in mind, the Russo Brothers released a cryptic tweet with the date 19 July 2019 and what sounds like the time they showed off the first footage for Avengers: Infinity War, also at Comic-Con years ago.

In the video, you can clear hear it being said that: “There is no way in hell that we are not going to show you some footage” followed by the first footage of Infinity War.

There is simply no reason to tease the date of their Comic-Con panel this year with that line from a previous year if they won’t show some footage of a new Marvel film in the MCU phase 4. What could the new film be? Well, that is open to speculation but it is expected that the Phase 4 plans will also be revealed at Comic-Con next week.

Personally, I think it will be The Eternals staring Angelina Jolie (my best guess), or maybe even a Dr Strange 2 teaser, or the Black Widow prequel film. Whatever the case may be, there are really an infinite number of possibilities for surprises as it has been confirmed earlier this week that the MCU multiverse is a thing. Heck, it could even be the Secret Wars theme for phase 4 of the MCU.
