SEGA has delayed the upcoming roguelike dungeon crawler Endless Dungeon to October. The game was just shy of a month away. Set to release on 18 May, the developers at Amplitude Studios say they need more time to work on various aspects of the game before it can be enjoyed by the masses.
Endless Dungeon was announced back in 2020 and has been in and out of beta for a few months now. The PC version hosted a closed beta for pre-order customers in late 2022 and while the May launch seemed on track, the studio claims various aspects of the development still need work.

Features such as the meta-progression, balancing, in-game economy and general polishing still have to be done in order to get the game ready for launch. This has resulted in the launch date being pushed up to 19 October.
Amplitude Studios says the six-month delay will help the studio work through the feedback it received during the game’s OpenDev tests. Romain de Waubert, General Manager and CCO of Amplitude Studios said:
We’re grateful and honoured that players are looking forward to playing ENDLESS DUNGEON. The feedback we’ve received across our OpenDev sessions so far has proved to us that we truly have something special on our hands and we want to ensure we have time for the game to reach its full potential. Players have always been at the heart of our studio’s philosophy and releasing ENDLESS DUNGEON in October will allow us the extra time to keep working with the community and polishing the game for an amazing day one experience. We can’t wait for fans of the Universe and newcomers alike to experience ENDLESS DUNGEON’s unique gameplay combination of rogue-lite, tactical action and tower defense.”
