Fortnite creator, Epic Games, is suing Brandon Lucas “Golden Modz” for advertising and selling Fortnite cheats.

Golden Modz prides himself in posting Fortnite as well as Grand Theft Auto V “trolling videos.” His channel has over 1.75 million followers, and he also has a website that sells “modding tools for a variety of PC, Xbox, and PlayStation games. According to Epic, what he allegedly sells is Fortnite cheats like aimbot. These go for $200 a pop.

According to a report on BBC, Epic also names another YouTuber, Colton Conter, in the official documents.

Defendants are cheaters. Nobody likes a cheater. When cheaters use aimbots or other cheat technologies to gain an unfair advantage, they ruin games for people who are playing fairly. We take cheating seriously, and we’ll pursue all available options to make sure our games are fun, fair, and competitive for players.

YouTube removed some of the videos from the Golden Modz channel. A quick look at his website shows that he isn’t currently selling anything. Lucas stated in a new video that he is “confused” about why Epic is taking legal action against him. His confusion stems from the reasoning that many other YouTubers also do it and they get away with it.

Earlier this month, Epic Games acquired Kamu, a company that provides anti-cheating measures. The Kamu acquisition is just in time for Fortnite’s first cross-play In-game Tournaments that kicked off yesterday.

Now for some happy Fortnite news. Everyone wants to cash in on the success, and the latest to join the craze is Ellen DeGeneres.

Yesterday, Epic also announced the latest vehicle to “Propel yourself and a friend into battle.” The new Quadcrasher is available only in Fortnite battle royale. It seats two players, and builds up a boost that can smash through walls.
