Eternal Strands has received a 28 January release date. The upcoming RPG by Yellow Brick Games will launch on PS5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC next month with planned post-launch content confirmed in collaboration with Square Enix’s Creative Studio III.
Yellow Brick Games says this Square Enix Creative Studio III collaboration will see Eternal Strands get new original content for free soon after launch. The content is being designed by Lead Artist Yusuke Mogi, who is best known for his work on Final Fantasy XIV Online.
Little is known about the content at this point. The release date trailer does tease a small glimpse at the DLC with a strange pink-winged creature. You can see it in the image below.
Jeff Skalski, COO and Executive Producer at Yellow Brick Games, says the collaboration is a once-in-a-lifetime moment for him, and the studio is so excited to be working with these RPG veterans on this DLC.

I can’t wait for the players to experience the new cool designs from the master artist Yusuke Mogi when our first free post-launch update for Eternal Strands arrives in the spring of 2025.”
In addition to the DLC announcement, Yellow Brick Games also detailed the full voice cast for Eternal Strands. There are a handful of familiar voices in the game, including Amelia Tyler from Baldur’s Gate 3. Here’s the full list.

If you don’t know, Eternal Strands is an upcoming action-adventure game where players explore fantasy realms during the day to collect resources and defeat powerful enemies. The world features a unique breakable environment system that ties into exploration and combat. Players can use telekinesis to pick up rubble and toss it towards enemies while also using various elements to burn and freeze them.
I have had my eye on Eternal Strands since the announcement, and the release date is great news. Watch the trailer below:
