Exoprimal Release Date Open Beta Capcom Xbox Game Pass

Exoprimal Support is Ending a Year After Launch

Capcom has announced that it’s ending post-launch support for its multiplayer action game, Exoprimal, one year after its release. It launched on consoles and PC last year though it didn’t make a very big impression, even with the player boost on Xbox Game Pass. Four seasons later and players will have to brace for no new content being added to the game anymore.

Capcom confirmed that season 4 of Exoprimal will be the last offering to players. After season 4, the game will simply recycle seasons 1-3 for players to enjoy, meaning there will be no new content for the foreseeable future. It’s understandable why Capcom is cutting the chord on the game as it failed to generate a decently sized player base, not helped by the mixed reception it received at launch. Sadly, it looks like the Dino Crisis crossover plans will not move ahead after all.

Support for Exoprimal will officially come to an end on 11 July, which is this week Thursday. It will still be available to download on Xbox Game Pass if you’re keen to give it a try without having to purchase it outright. Alternatively, it’s currently on sale on Steam at a 67% discount or R352.

The official description of Exoprimal reads:

“The year is 2040… Sudden dinosaur outbreaks have engulfed the globe in a crisis that threatens humanity’s very existence. Yet all hope is not lost. The corporation Aibius has developed a hyper-advanced AI called Leviathan that can predict the location of future outbreaks. This technology, along with Aibius’s revolutionary powered suits, or exosuits, gives humanity a fighting chance to stem the tide of the saurian swarms. Exosuit pilots, otherwise known as exofighters, are in high demand. Take the exofighter aptitude test and join the ranks of Aibius’s heroic pilots in their fight to stave off the extinction of the human race.”
