The upcoming Fable reboot from Forza Horizon developer Playground Games has received a new trailer at tonight’s Xbox Games Showcase along with a confirmation that it will release in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S and PC as well as day one on Xbox Game Pass.
Sticking closely to the unique, often dry comedy of the franchise, the Fable reboot seems to be in good hands under Playground Games. The trailer bounces from serious to light-hearted, though also shows glimpses of gameplay, exploration and interactions with various NPCs who will all seemingly react to your status as a hero (or villain, if that’s your cup of tea). It’s looking much better than its previous showing and with a 2025 release on the horizon (no pun intended), it’s closer now more than ever.
Xbox describes Fable:
“What does it mean to be a Hero? Well, in the fairytale land of Albion, that is entirely up to you. With a dark threat looming, and in a world where your reputation precedes you, your choices will change Albion forever.”
Fable finally arrives in 2025 for Xbox Series X/S and PC. Watch the official new trailer from the Xbox Games Showcase below:
