Fall Guys is getting some new content today. Developer Mediatonic announced the first major update headed to the crazy clumsy multiplayer game. The update should keep players happy as in addition to a handful of new gameplay changes, there’s also a new level called Jump Showdown.

The Fall Guys Jump Showdown mode was previously available in beta. However, today it arrives in the main game. The challenge is simple (not really). Players need to avoid two spinning whacky poles as they try to knock you off the level. It gets harder. While you are trying to jump and duck to avoid your death, the floor is also disappearing block by block. Not to mention other d-bag players grabbing you and pushing you off the small ledge. Thankfully, this new level is finale one so if you survive the dastardly tricks, you win!
Mediatonic announced a bunch of new smaller tweaks coming to the game. This includes fixes to crashes, improving matchmaking, fixing physics and most important of all, fixing the crown not being grabbable in Fall Mountain. I have a personal experience with this myself.

There’s also a bunch of other changes you can check out on Twitter here. So far so good I say. Fall Guys was an instant success when it launched last week. So much so that it crashed the game’s servers. Mediatonic reportedly had 2 million players on Steam breaking a new record.
The game’s success means we will see more levels and modes arrive in the future. Fall Guys needs to keep things fresh in order to keep players coming back for more. Else running and fumbling about may get tiresome after a while.
