The live-action Fallout TV series from Amazon is currently filming its anticipated second season which will take viewers to a fan-favourite location: New Vegas. It might still be a while until we get a glimpse of the first trailer but a new leaked image from season 2 has teased a familiar location in New Vegas that fans of the game will instantly recognise.
The leaked image for Fallout season 2, which originates from a Reddit post, shows a behind-the-scenes look at one of the sets being used. Specifically, it’s Dinky the T-Rex, the massive dinosaur statue that players can find on the outskirts of New Vegas in front of a hotel. Since the location in the game is prone to attacks by raiders and other horrors of the desert, a sniper’s nest was even built into the mouth of the T-Rex.
We don’t know if Dinky’s mouth will still be used as a convenient sniping spot in Fallout season 2 since quite a bit of time has passed since the events of Obsidian’s game, though the image suggests that this could be the case – perhaps for The Ghoul and Lucy MacLean to hide out inside?
Plot details are still being kept heavily under wraps for the second season and the long-awaited return to New Vegas, even if it isn’t in video game form. Thanks to Obsidian Entertainment’s acclaimed 2010 video game, the location has become quite popular among fans, especially due to its lore, world-building and striking Mojave desert setting where Deathclaws are abundant.
Home Alone star Macaulay Culkin will join season 2 as “a crazy genius-type” character, though his role hasn’t been disclosed yet. Kumail Nanjiani will also potentially join the cast, though it has yet to be confirmed by Amazon.
Amazon has yet to set a release date for Fallout season 2 but fans can expect it to arrive sometime in 2026.
