Fallout TV Show Amazon Los Angeles Setting 2024

Fallout TV Show Takes Place in Los Angeles – Coming 2024

A teaser for the upcoming Fallout TV show from Bethesda and Amazon was shown during Gamescom, though it hasn’t been made public. However, new details were revealed about the series including its setting of Los Angeles in the new Vault 33 and a release window pinned for sometime in 2024. The live-action Fallout series is being produced by The Dark Knight co-writer Jonathan Nolan.

According to new information revealed at Gamescom, the Fallout TV show will be set in Los Angeles – a location that was never explored in the video games. According to Bethesda’s Todd Howard, it will also be set around the same time as the games and features the new Vault 33. Amazon also confirmed that it will be coming to Prime Video in 2024, though no concrete release date was revealed.

Last month, set photos from the production of Fallout leaked showing the Vault Tech logo, raider outfit and more. While no new images were shared at Gamescom, some attendees apparently got a behind-closed-doors look at the show, which featured the Brotherhood of Steel, a shootout in a western-styled town and a woman emerging from the vault for the first time. It’s believed that this woman could be the protagonist of the series.

Howard spoke highly of Nolan and his past work which inspired Starfield, stating:

“One of the movies which inspired Starfield is the movie Interstellar, written by Jonathan Nolan – he goes by Jonah. I got to know Jonah, and I always wanted to make a Fallout TV show. So, I talked to Jonah about it and we have been making the Fallout TV show that’s coming, and we thought we would give you a sneak peek.”

The Fallout TV show stars Ender’s Game actor Moises Arias, 21 Jump Street‘s Johnny Pemberton, The Hateful Eight actor Walter Goggins and Yellowjackets actress Ella Purnell, among others.

In other news, last year developer Obsidian Entertainment stated that it would be open to making a sequel to Fallout: New Vegas if given the go-ahead by Microsoft. Obsidian is currently working on the Skyrim-inspired fantasy RPG Avowed as well as a sequel to The Outer Worlds.

Meanwhile, Fallout 3 and Fallout 4 developer Bethesda Game Studios is only a couple of weeks away from the launch of its next major single-player sci-fi RPG, Starfield.
