Far Cry 6 Danny Trejo Mission Patched Out After Being Released Too Early

The latest Title Update 2 for Far Cry 6 has now launched across PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC platforms, but it comes with a rather strange correction. Ubisoft stated that they accidentally released the Danny Trejo mission ‘Dani & Danny vs Everybody’ too early, and have now patched out the incomplete mission entirely from the game.

The ‘Dani & Danny vs Everybody’ mission would’ve seen the protagonist receive a phone call from Juan asking them to meet with his friend, actor Danny Trejo, to help him out with something. According to Ubisoft, the mission was accidentally released early and wasn’t actually the final version. This has since been rectified in the latest patch which removes the mission altogether from the game.

Meanwhile, Far Cry 6‘s upcoming DLC roadmap supposedly includes the Insanity Vaas DLC expansion, with Danny Trejo’s mission scheduled for December. The latest update also includes the new Special Operation: Los Tres Santos available from 9 November.

Danny Trejo is known for appearing in several action films, most notably in Robert Rodriguez’s projects, including From Dusk Till Dawn, Desperado, Once Upon A Time in Mexico and Machete, among others. Given his reputation and choice of roles in movies, the actor seems like a perfect fit for the Far Cry universe which also prides itself on high-octane action that was likely inspired by the same films.

Far Cry 6 is currently available for all current and last generation consoles as well as PC. While the game isn’t as good as the series’ best, it still maintains a healthy dose of bombastic action and open-world exploration that has become a staple of Ubisoft’s explosive franchise for almost two decades.
