A year after the release of Ubisoft’s open-world action game Far Cry 6, it looks like a Game of the Year edition and upgrade pass has been leaked. The leak also mentions a new expansion, titled ‘Lost Between Worlds’, that will be included in this Game of the Year edition. It will also include all previously released DLC for the game.
According to Aggiornamenti Lumia, who regularly reports on listings posted on the Xbox and Microsoft stores before they’re made public, a ‘Game of the Year’ edition for Far Cry 6 was spotted along with an upgrade pass, which will likely give players who already own Far Cry 6 a cheaper alternative to upgrade to the Game of the Year edition without repurchasing the entire game again.

An unannounced DLC called ‘Lost Between Worlds’ was also leaked, which will be included with the new edition of the game. Given that we’re approaching Far Cry 6‘s one year anniversary of its release, Ubisoft will probably make this announcement official in the coming weeks.
Far Cry 6 has received a range of updates and DLC since its launch last October, such as crossovers with Rambo, Danny Trejo and Stranger Things. Three major DLC episodes were made available to owners of the game’s Season Pass in the form of Vaas: Insanity, Pagan: Control and Joseph: Collapse, all highlighting the previous major villains in the series.
Upon release, Far Cry 6 was met with mixed reactions from fans and critics. Some praised the game’s high-octane open-world action and over-the-top thrills which have become a trademark for the franchise, while others felt that it stuck too close to the same tried and tested formula without doing anything special or innovative.
Far Cry 6 is currently available for PS4, PS5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X/S and PC.
