A new Far Cry spin-off game has seemingly been leaked and it’s based on Captain Laserhawk. A recently published rating by the European and Korean ratings boards revealed that it will be titled Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior, possibly based on the Netflix show Captain Laserhawk: A Blood Dragon Remix, which is already based on a Far Cry 3 spin-off game called Blood Dragon. It’s a bit confusing.
The ratings were quickly taken down by the boards but it was well-documented before being deleted (per PlayStation LifeStyle). According to screenshots posted in the PEGI rating, it will be a PvP multiplayer game recommended for ages 12 and above. The game will seemingly revolve around players going head-to-head in a “laser deathmatch.” Players with the most eliminations are named the winners, though it’s unclear if this will be a free-for-all or a traditional team deathmatch. It’s also not known if it will be free-to-play.

However, the rating’s description states that “This game offers players the opportunity to purchase in-game items, such as cosmetics”, suggesting that it will probably be free-to-play. Ubisoft hasn’t officially announced the game yet, though the series released back in October last year and it’s currently available to watch on Netflix (it’s not bad).
In related news, Ubisoft is reportedly working on Far Cry 7 which is rumoured to be set in the Alaskan wilderness. A previous report claimed that it will feature a non-linear, time-limited story in which players will have 72 in-game hours (or 24 real-world hours) to complete the main objective of rescuing their family from a violent conspiracy group. Family members can apparently be rescued in any order and resting at a safehouse pauses the in-game time. If this concept is true, then it’s quite experimental and ambitious for the franchise.
Another standalone Far Cry multiplayer game is also reportedly in development, though we don’t think it has anything to do with Captain Laserhawk Niji Warrior.
