The 10th instalment in the Fast and Furious franchise has been dated and fans can expect to see the movie in cinemas starting in April 2023. According to Entertainment Weekly, Fast and Furious 10, probably called Fast 10, will release on 7 April 2023 in cinemas worldwide and will act as the series’ second last movie in the franchise.

Fast and Furious 10 will be directed by Justin Lin. Lin also directed Fast 9 which was released earlier this year. While it may seem like we just watched a Fast and Furious movie, believe it or not, Fast 10 was originally meant to debut this year. However, due to the ongoing covid-19 pandemic and the delays in shooting, the film was pushed back. In turn, Fast and Furious 10 has now been slated for a 2023 release.

We know very little about Fast and Furious 10 at this stage. We know it is expected to see the return of Vin Diesel alongside Tyrese Gibson, Sung Kang, Chris Bridges, Jordan Brester and Michelle Rodiguez. The cast will mainly focus on the previous actors that have starred in past films. With that being said, reports claim that Dwayne Johnson is not returning to the series for Fast and Furious 10. There is also no confirmation whether or not John Cena will return either.

The announcement of Fast and Furious 10 comes as no surprise. We know the franchise is still set to receive another two movies before it gets canned. Even with the covid-19 pandemic crippling cinemas, Fast 9 proved to be a success. The film managed to gross over $170 million in the US and $500 worldwide.

Fast and Furious 10 filming is expected to kick off sometime in 2022.
