At E3 2019, Square Enix revealed the Final Fantasy 7 Remake release date, alongside some awesome gameplay and it was, without a doubt, one of the biggest games on show at E3 this year. So far, the game has only been advertised as a PS4 exclusive but now, thanks to a now-deleted social media post by Xbox Germany, there is some solid hope that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake could come to other platforms as well, specifically the Xbox One.

If the leaked information is accurate, then the Final Fantasy 7 Remake will be heading to the Xbox One and release on the same date as the PS4 version, 3 March 2020. It was, however, never officially announced that the Final Fantasy 7 Remake would be a PS4 exclusive, but the game has only been advertised on the PS4 so far and with the reveal back in 2015, the reveal video at Sony’s 2015 E3 Press Conference had “play first on PS4” meaning it would be, at the very least, be a timed exclusive.
With this slip from Xbox Germany, this timed exclusivity might also not happen. This incident was captured by Twitter user Nibel and posted in a tweet which you can view below, with the Xbox Germany communications and social lead, Maxi Graff, responding.
Hey. We did an internal mistake in the Social Team. We took the video off immediately. Sorry, no announcement on our side. Big apologies for this.

Since Xbox Germany’s Maxi Graff responded to this incident, the leaked image is definitely not a fake one and there is a good chance that the game will actually release on the Xbox One and at the same time as the PS4 as well.
