Square Enix has released a second demo for Final Fantasy VII Rebirth today. The second demo has been added to the current demo on PS5 as an update and adds new content, graphical improvements and more.
The second demo is focused on a new explorable area in Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Players will now be able to explore the surrounding areas of Junon which makes up a small portion of the game’s large open-world in the main game. This chapter is called Dawn of a New Era in Junon.
Square Enix says what you see in this area has been made specifically for the demo and content has been altered to play out differently. As a result, any progress you make in this section won’t carry over to the main game. Think of it as added content for the fun of things.
The Final Fantasy VII Rebirth demo update launches tomorrow at 4am PST / 1pm CET.

Of course, if you have played the demo, you’ll still get to carry over the main story progress to the full game next week. In addition, you’ll also get the Kup Charm and Survival Set for participating in the demo content.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is set to launch on 29 February exclusively for PS5. It is the sequel to the 2020 Final Fantasy VII Remake and the second part in the trilogy. Part three has been teased to arrive sometime in 2028. However, development has not started for the game just yet. Catch up on the latest trailer below.
