During last night’s PlayStation State of Play showcase, Square Enix revealed a new trailer and release date for the anticipated upcoming RPG, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth. Naturally, with the announcement of a release date, a collector’s edition was also revealed that contains 19-inches of Sephiroth… we mean, his statue. Other DLC content is also included in the package along with a steelbook but more pressingly, it will cost you $350. Here’s a South African pre-order guide to the various editions including the standard and digital deluxe you can pre-purchase right now.
Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will feature a few editions for players to purchase including the standard edition, deluxe edition and the awesome collector’s edition which is, as of writing, sadly a Square Enix store exclusive. Have a look at what you’ll get below.

Final Fantasy VII Rebirth South African Pre-Order Guide and Editions
Standard Edition and Pre-Order Bonus
The standard edition of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth will come with the base game on 2 discs. The pre-order bonus includes the Midgar Bangle Mk. II armour. Furthermore, those who own save data from Final Fantasy VII Remake (PS4/PS5) and Final Fantasy VII Remake Episode Intermission will receive Leviathan and Ramuh Summon Materia, respectively.
The standard edition costs R1,429 on the PlayStation Store.
Digital Deluxe Edition
The Digital Deluxe Edition of Final Fantasy VII Rebirth contains the following:
- Final Fantasy VII Rebirth Base Game
- Digital Art Book
- Digital mini soundtrack
- Summon Materia: Magic Pot
- Accessory: Reclaimant Choker
- Armor: Orchid Bracelet
It costs R1,789 on the PlayStation Store. Additionally, the Twin Package contains Final Fantasy VII Remake Intergrade and Final Fantasy VII Rebirth for the same price as the Digital Deluxe edition.
